Arvind Thiagarajan

Founder & Board Member

Arvind Thiagarajan is the Founder of AT Group LLC and serves as the Advanced Technologist for the company. He is an inventor and entrepreneur with a history of founding, advising, and building technology companies. Arvind founded AT Group as a holding company to own all his shares, worth several million dollars, in MatrixView Limited as well as the HD Medical Group and also to incubate several other patents and ideas invented by him as well as other inventors and entrepreneurs.

Within the AT Group, Arvind is leading AT Labs as the Advanced Technologist. AT Labs develops the next generation technology innovations for healthcare, internet and green initiative technologies. These innovations deliver solutions for early detection of cardiac diseases to save lives, enhanced internet technologies to save costs and better energy systems to save the planet. Arvind was given a special award from Member of Parliament for Science and Technology from the Government of India for his contributions to research and science and his work as part of HD Medical won the Socially Relevant Product (SRP) award in ITT Madras. His inventions have helped in screening thousands of children and people in India and worldwide. The HD Medical ViScope® Visual Stethoscope, invented by Arvind, was used to screen 30,000 children as part of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) initiative in Kerala State in India to detect cardiac murmurs and defects. His compression technology called ABO (Adaptive Binary Optimization) invented by Arvind at MatrixView was chosen as the "Top 5 evolving technologies" by CNBC Asia; named twice the Frost & Sullivan "Best Technology Award" for medical imaging. Hundreds of hospitals worldwide use MatrixView’s technology for solving storage and transmission issues.

Arvind was mentored by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, the former President of India. He graduated from the College of Engineering, Guindy one of the four constituent colleges of the Anna University in India with an engineering degree in Electronics and Communications. Arvind specializes in signal processing and algorithm development with multiple granted and pending patents along with several award winning technical publications under his name. Arvind is also a member of the DICOM Standards Committee Working Group 4 (Compression), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), and a charitable foundation called SAI Global Mission which focuses on Societal Advancement Initiatives globally by offering free food/healthcare services.

Arjun Malhotra is a board member at AT Group LLC responsible for the company’s investment and portfolio evaluations. Arjun offers a comprehensive and significant financial and technology knowledgebase accumulated over his 45+ years of developing and managing IT and financial services companies. In 1975 he co-founded HCL (Hindustan Computers Ltd) and served as the Vice chairman for 23 years. Later he founded TechSpan, an internet consultancy company which in 2003 merged with Headstrong, the leader in consulting to the financial markets that sold in 2011 to Genpact for over $500M. Arjun also serves as a Director of Lumis Partners and guides the team in investment evaluation, portfolio operations and overall strategy.

Arjun is a Governing Board Member of the Indian School of Business and since February 2013 a Director of Entercoms, Inc., a risk management, digital technology and services company and a Director of eInfochips, a product engineering and software R&D company. Additionally, he serves as a Member of the Advisory Board of DMI Finance Private Limited, and at IvyCap Ventures. He is also the current Co-Chair of the Global Pan-IIT Alumni Association. He serves on the Board of Governors for multiple institutions including the IIT Kgp Foundation of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur; the Rajiv Gandhi Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Shillong. and the Doon School, Dehradun. Similarly, he served as The Chairman of the Global Board of Trustee of The Indus Entrepreneurs. Arjun is a past Member of the Board of Governors of the Delhi College of Arts and Commerce, The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Udaipur and the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIIT&M), Gwalior. He founded the Prof. G.S. Sanyal School of Telecommunications and the M. N. Faruqui Innovation Center at IIT Kharagpur through a personal endowment. In February 2003, he was declared a Life Fellow of IIT Kharagpur.

Arjun began his studies at the Doon School, Dehradun and received his Bachelor of Technology (Honors) in Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur, INDIA where he received the Dr. B C Roy Gold Medal. In September 2012 IIT Kharagpur awarded him a Doctor of Science (Honoris Causa). He attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School in 1985. He is a Founder of SPIC-MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) and serves on their Advisory Board.

Deepak Viswanath is a Co-Founder of AT Group LLC and is responsible for the operations of the company. Deepak brings over 25 years of high technology operational experience with building and managing high growth global enterprises. He offers comprehensive mergers and acquisitions experience along with intimate knowledge of the IPO process. He has strong roots in both Asian and Western cultures, having professional/personal relationships with clients and partners in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific countries. Deepak is a visionary and goal oriented senior executive that utilizes a solution oriented and highly analytical approach in planning, developing and implementing cutting edge information solutions to address business opportunities.

Deepak has been managing IT and service operations through innovative methods focusing on strategy, cost and performance optimization. He has extensive global distributed management experience coupled with a strong record of success in creating robust IT architectures and infrastructures for cloud platforms, IT operations, data centers, technical support and professional services. He has a strong track record in managing relationships with both external and internal stakeholders. An industry leading technologist throughout his professional career at multinational corporations as well as startups (Infosys, Livedeal, BlueRoads, Yodlee, Getthere LP/Sabre, Oracle, etc.), Deepak provides strategic direction counsel to senior executive management on technology architectures and integration as well as strategic business planning.

Deepak holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from MIU (Maharishi International University) Fairfield, Iowa as well as a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of California. He continues his education through various corporate sponsored career education forums and executive management training programs.

Board Member

Raju Reddy is a board member of AT Group LLC responsible for the strategic direction of the company. Raju is the Founder and CEO of Sierra Atlantic, a company that grew to be a best-in-class global services company over a period of 17 years. Under his leadership, Sierra Atlantic grew from a startup to over 2400 employees with operations in several countries and was consistently ranked amongst the best managed companies including the top 75 most admired companies in Silicon Valley, Top 25 great places to work in India and Top 10 best employers in South China.

Sierra Atlantic was acquired by Hitachi Consulting in December 2010 and it is the largest ever acquisition by Hitachi Consulting to date. Prior to founding Sierra Atlantic in 1993, Raju spent 10 years at Intel in software development, marketing, and general management. Raju currently serves on the boards of Hitachi Consulting; RedBus; and GharPay, a fast-growing consumer internet company based in India.

Raju is active in not-for-profit initiatives and is currently Chairman of BITSAA Intl, the alumni body of BITS Pilani, India’s #1 private university. He enjoys working with young entrepreneurs in a mentorship role and was instrumental in starting the TiE Chapter in Hyderabad. Raju also serves on the Board of India community center in Milpitas, CA. He previously served as a member of the Board of Trustees for Puente, a Wharton School non-profit program which helped under privileged communities worldwide gain access to technology. In November 2011, Raju was awarded the Pratham USA ‘Glory of India’ award for entrepreneurship and philanthropy. He also co-founded SIPA (Silicon Valley Indian Professional Association) in 1987.

Raju holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and electronics engineering from BITS Pilani and a Master of Science degree in computer science from Virginia Tech.
